I did something this time I've never done before...I voted early. Due to Ian closing many of the usual voting locations (cut from 100 down to 13) they have had early voting extended and it was actually fairly busy when I went to vote which I was happy to see. The Admiral also said she had a lot of people voting when she voted a couple of days later. I look forward to a good election result and would be happy to hear of record high participation rates everywhere.
Here's to an improvement in the economy with the changes!

Just an observation based on results as of now. All the smart money is going to move from Trump to DeSantis. DeSantis won big and most Trump supported candidates lost. Can't say all the Trump followers will move, but the money will.
Sure hope we end up with a Congress that can stop the free fall our economy is headed for with the current administration policies. Guess we'll know later today.

I got to say, I'm a bit stunned by the results, I was expecting a much better showing by the republicans.

Good news for my county. We can buy beer in stores and restaurants now. We were a dry county until yesterday.

Guess we'll know later today. Agree on the popularity of DeSantis and the liability of Trump. Trump is too offensive to many even in his own party, even if his policies are supported his delivery is a concern...Ron certainly has been a great Gov. Here in FL and I hope he gets into the white house. Even blue areas of FL went for him this time which should demonstrate his winability in 2024. I believe the distraction of the abortion ruling by the supreme court caused enough backlash that a true red wave based on the bigger issue (the economy) was held off in areas that otherwise would have rolled to the GOP this time. But it was far from a Dem dream night yesterday.
