Hi All Deal done and now looking forward to getting my new 272 delivered sometime in mid-March. Went with the twin 200"s for some offshore fishing.

Thanks all.
I fish out of Ortley Beach, NJ. Bought a 24ft Scout last year but realized quickly for going offshore, needed something more stable and the 272 should be that boat.

I've taken my 24' 245DC 80 miles offshore to the Norfolk Canyon and regularly take it 40-50 miles offshore. It can take rougher water than I can and has proven that more than once. Enjoy the boat.

On the Scout, went with black hull and midnight package which I really liked. This time around I stayed with the white hull in favor of spending more on options I wanted such as duel plotters, joystick control and overboard discharge. Will miss having a hull color that stands out but outfitted it with stuff I really wanted.

I enjoy the white hull as cleaning and maintaining is easier. And, if you want to make it more eye catching you could always do a wrap, or add logos, etc. I've gotten lots of looks and questions about the sailfish at the front of the boat and they were less than a colored hull and are no maintenance.

Thanks all. I fish out of Ortley Beach, NJ. Bought a 24ft Scout last year but realized quickly for going offshore, needed something more stable and the 272 should be that boat. I'm right down the street in Seaside Park, right outside the entrance to IBSP. Have a 245 DC that I keep in the yard and trailer it in and out. Mostly head out of BI. I'll be in Florida for a lot of the winter, will be around for a few weeks around Christmas, let's grab a beer at Bum's either then or in the spring.

Congrats. I considered the 272 before deciding on the 245DC. We are located on the Manahawkin Bay and get up to BB often.

Hey neighbors Will surely do a cold one this spring! If either of you guys looking to head farther offshore, just let me know. Always a good thing fishing in tandem for the big ones.
