Welcome to the Sailfish family Captain! I know you'll like that hull, I have the dual console version of that boat and love the ride. You do need to run her a bit more bow-high than I was used to with my prior boats but once you get the trim and tabs set up you will appreciate the ride at speed.

Sorry for your loss, but I hope the 270cc fills the void.
I run the same boat, previously called the 2660cc. I really like it despite some of the annoyances. It is a very good riding hull, super economical to run w/great range, but can be wet in a quartering sea w/strong winds. Would advise looking into curtains/wings if you plan to run offshore to fish a lot in various conditions.
Welcome

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the 270. Any pics? I look forward to your fishing reports and maybe you can teach some of us a few tricks. Don’t worry, I’m on the east coast of Florida (Vero Beach) so any new skills I obtain won’t put any pressure on your fishery.

Villa, since you are just across the Caloosahatchee from me maybe we can do a fishing trip sometime. I'm still learning the ropes on the whole saltwater fishing thing but willing to learn and split expenses if you ever need a partner as a hand.
