Hi all, I'm going to start trailering my 2860 full time this season and want to get my trailer adjusted a bit better. I'm thinking about moving my trailer bunks inboard a bit...currently they're very close to a strake (#1 on the diagram) and it seems like the boat usually ends up cockeye'd with one bunk inboard of the strake and one outboard. I'm guessing they were trying to keep the bunks under the stringers, but I'm hoping it's ok to move them a bit closer and avoid the strakes altogether. In the attached pic, my bunks are currently at position 1...I'm thinking about position 2...but have even read about some guys using positions 3 (although probably a no go for me due to transducers) Thoughts? Mine are between 1 and 2 but closer to the number 2 spot. You should be fine.

Same as Richard, mine are between 1 and 2, closer to 1 but almost in the middle. Keep in mind the narrower you go, the higher the boat will sit on the trailer if clearance is of any concern.

My trailer is set-up at position 2. I also had a lot of issues keeping the boat at that position with my original y-guide at the front. A few years ago I added another crossmember and added 2 front bunks. Now the boat stays centered every time.
