I'm looking at purchasing a shed to set up next to my house to store life jackets and that damn sandbar mat. It's not nearly useful enough to take up the amount of space it requires, but the family likes it. I'd like to get it out of the garage and somewhere where it can be forgotten about long enough to be discarded or pawned off on the next unlucky owner. Right now, I have a 6 foot long rack in my garage for storing my PFDs, and I can't really put anything under them, since they drip. I figure that those two items would give me more room in the garage for important fishing gear, power tools and beer.
I'm looking for something that I can pick up from Home Depot or a boating supply store. So, most likely plastic or fiberglass. The space is 10 feetx3 feet. Anyone have any ideas?

I like the way you think. More fishing gear and beer! I think you will have a hard time finding something with those measurements. You want to build it yourself or hire a carpenter to do the work. Of course this would be made of wood.

What you show at Ace is what I had in mind when I first saw your post. There are a lot of various sizes and brands out there. Suncast makes a lot of different types so if you Google Suncast Sheds you may find just what you want. I have a small one that we used on the deck to store lawn chair cushions and some grill supplies and I was very happy with it, and it moved with us down to FL and now sits on my lanai.

Do you have a above ground deck at your home Maybe a tarp from Harbor Freight wrap it and throw it under the deck. Out of sight out of mind.

We do have a raised deck. That's not a bad idea, but we do get a lot of wind down the lagoon. Most of our outdoor furniture has to be heavy or it blows around. We have a lot of stuff outside...paddleboards, kayaks, crab traps, etc. The main thing with the shed was the life jackets, but then I started thinking about all the other stuff I could get out of the garage....paddles, yard games, buckets, coolers, wake board, pumps for the paddleboards etc. It makes me happy thinking about all the stuff I can store in there.

Decorative lattice around the perimeter stops anything from blowing out,Walmart has large Tupperware like tubs their water proof and would hold 8 to 10 PFD's. If your looking for an easy inexpensive way out to open up space in your garage.

In my neck of the woods we can’t store outside cause it all gets moldy.

I remember a Navy helicopter pilot moving in next door. I kept waiting for a moving van to appear, but it didn't happen. Soon he had new furniture delivered from several stores. Once I got to know him I asked him why he got all new furniture. His answer "Have you ever seen what happens to upholstered furniture in Guam?".
Fully understand Florida has some humidity issues.

Thanks for all the input. I think I'm going to go with the Suncast. It would be nice to have everything out of sight.

We bought a Suncast shed last weekend. It's a little smaller than the one I linked to. But, even better news, we bought some nice inflatable tubes to replace that mat.
For sale: one lagoon mat that takes up your whole garage and offers minutes of enjoyment for the whole family. It would make a nice platform for playing king of the hill when placed right next to your boat. Just be careful that nobody falls, hits their head and messes up your prop. It's well padded so it makes a nice cushion for when you trip over it trying to reach the fishing gear. It doesn't quite lay flat in the water and doesn't quite roll up tight when it's stored away, so you get the best of both worlds. There is a leash attached so you can tie it to the dock and use it to pull yourself out of boat traffic. It used to be blue and yellow. No low ball offers. I know what I got.

Where did everything go? Why, it's in the shed and the dock box. I'd like to get another shed for yard games, and you may notice that that damn sandbar mat is still there. It's still a work in progress.
There is some beach gear and more bikes out of the camera view. The next project will be some type of slat wall.
But first, off to Tackle Direct to occupy all that beautiful space....
