Happy Father's Day to the SF Dad's!
I'm starting the day off with my coffee and watching Sport Fishing TV w/FlipbPallot. Other than that looks like a good day to hit the water.
What's everyone doing today?

IHappy Father's day to you Chris. We went seabass fishing early. Nasty conditions 4' to5' slop. Hard time holding bottom with 22 Oz. But we did get some nice fish.

A lengthy breakfast in the gazebo with the Admiral this morning and one of the kids stopping by for several hours. Just a relaxing and productive day. Got the Admiral to agree I need some more light tackle for taking grandkids out fishing. A very productive day indeed.

Happy Father’s Day!!! Had nice visit from older son, wife and grandson, had good time hanging at the river beach-park, then back to the house for my almost famous meat ball sandwiches, lol. Younger son gave me a custom sailfish logo gift, will post up pic after i find / build a panel to mount it on.

Sounds like a good day for all!
We just got back to the house. We ran 17 miles south to Lowes Wharf a waterfront Tiki sand bar where you pull your boat up in 2.5' of water and wade in. Had some beverages and snacks. Played some corn hole with the fam.
I ran into our old friend Walter George at Lowes Wharf, he was there was his family. He was on what I'll assume was one of his demo boats a 35 Everglades with his big Annapolis Boat Sales flag.
Then we ran back and on the way stopped at Cantlers crab house where my high schooler was working and grabbed some dinner and spent a few minutes with my son.
It was a beautiful day today on many levels. I'm grateful.

We went fishing in the Manahawkin Bay on Saturday. It was pretty rough so we didn't get outside. My daughter caught her first fluke...err, 'summer flopunder' as we call them on the forum. It was a great time. I kept pulling up dogfish and decided that I needed a new landing net since everything was getting tangled up. My wife got me a really cool painting of our house with the boat in front. I also got to do some work around the house and wash the boat. It was a great weekend.

Yes, amazing memories. It would have made for a nice pic if she would have been willing to touch the fish. I tried to hold it up to her, but the photo is just my arms covering the fish.

I haven't. I should though. I'd never go hungry. I pull these up all the time.

sea robins too, get a big one and there are 2 very nice pieces of meat on the body, another trash fish we catch by the literal boat load in the Barnegat bay area....

Heard dogfish was commonly used in fish chips at some places here in the states and UK.

I never even thought about eating sea robbins. Hmm. The good thing is when we have guests who want to fish but don't want to spend 6 hours on the water (I know, I know, is that even fishing??), I can usually put them on dogfish, sea robbins and puffer fish and we at least get some action.
