Richard I agree. Autopilot is the thing I miss the most after my last boat had it. Aside from the VHF, GPS chartplotter and depthsounder/sonar, autopilot probably gets used the most and appreciated by the captain above all other electronics on a normal day out.

I edited my last entry to add my AP install page and what to search for to find others. This was my second install so I only needed to figure out how to get the Uflex hoses matched up with what all the autopilots use and where to connect them since there isn't enough room behind the Uflex pump.
Since the Gulf Stream (tuna) is 80 miles from the marina, manual steering isn't a good option for me. And, I like trolling when fishing alone and I got my first autopilot after losing a big cobia while trying to get it in single handed. After almost running aground and torturing the poor fish, I unhooked it and let it go. Ordered my first AP that night.

OK all, so I finally got a response from Aaron at Sailfish after following up and re-asking my questions (I asked him where there was a fishtape installed, and if there was one, to help route wiring up to the top for radar). My guess was wrong, I thought it would be the starboard aft top support tubes, but according to Aaron, "The guys on the floor say that it is in the STBD side, forward hardtop frame tube." So I thought I'd pass that along for anyone else who has a 275 DC as it may save you some time and you can focus your searching for the fishtape in that area. I am still waiting for my radar delivery but probably won't be installing it for a while yet. Daughter's wedding shower is coming up shortly and then the wedding in a few months, so my ability to get a bunch of work done on the boat is limited. Too hot to do it now anyway so I'm not pushing it.
