So……
I’ve got 2 foot-itis. The admiral really likes the dual consoles. My CC is just about perfect so time to create a new one??
Anyone go from a CC to a DC? Preferences? Fishability of the DC?
Any DC owners care to explain differences between to 275 and the new 276? I’m thinking twin 200hp are a must.

FWIW I went from a Mako 191 CC to a 245 DC, so a switch from CC to DC, but also a considerably bigger and more comfortable boat. As far as fishing goes the drawback to the DC is less about the ability to walkaround and more about casting. I have found that the ability to walk around the boat 360 degrees while fighting a fish is in reality just something I don't need very often, if ever. I'm going on 5 years with this boat and not really sure if I have ever been in a situation where I lost a fish because I couldn't follow it around the boat. I do however feel a little "jammed" when I need to cast, I've talked to other skippers who do not share this feeling. I'd suspect it would be less of an issue on a 275 compared to my 245.
All in all I really love the boat and don't regret the switch to a DC at all.

275 DC with dual 200 yammies here. I love it. Fishing for the most part stays in the rear no matter what I fish for with possible exception of anchoring and casting an area in all directions, something I seldom do. For me the big plus in a DC is the added width of the hard top for sun and rain protection. I've never owned a CC but been on enough of them to know that there is very limited seating in protected areas, and for longer runs I prefer to stay seated and have my crew seated for safety sake so being comfortable and protected is as much about safety as it is making the trip more tolerable for all. The layout lends to entertainment too which both the Admiral and I also like. It's the right boat for me.
As for the 276 DC, I like the windows better but the layout seems about the same to me so overall I don't see a huge difference.

The 275 is the same hull as the 2360/2660/270cc, the 276 is the latest generation hull and the same as the 272cc. The hull design is a little different in that the strakes are pronounced to knock water down and make a for drier ride. You can also get twin 250's on the 276.

Gotta go 250’s! That should price it right outside my reality…..
Of course today we tubed and then fished inshore at anchor. 3 boys casting every which way. Maybe what I need to do is threaten the admiral with the 276 and then have a rhodan installed instead.

Looks like SF is now offering Zukes as a power choice too.

I have a DC and a smaller CC. I find the CC is better when catching fish or jigging/casting with more people on the boat, I find the DC better for everything else, including but not limited to. • Trolling-DC has rear facing seats much easier to watch rods • Weather and seas protection- many times I see 4 guys piled right behind the C Console standing up, my DC everyone gets a protected seat • Entertaining/non fishing trip. Easier with wife and friends, seating, bigger top for same sized boat
Not often but sometimes I have to spin the boat one way or the other with the DC when a fish is on, which I wouldn’t have to do in a CC. I never lost a fish because of the DC and when casting there is really only room for one guy in the front, were as in CC you have more room in front of the console
