Last offshore report of the trip. Had nice weather yesterday. Started at the 230 rocks and worked our way NE. School of Dolphin crashed the baits and all 5 rods were bent. Managed to get 2 to the boat, mine flipped off trying to sling him in. The wife's was hooked better and ended up in the box. Found a good line and birds working. It was solid action for the next couple hours. Nice mix of Skipjack and Blackfins (little skippy in pic committed suicide, can you say strip bait ). Lost count of the knocks downs we had, it got very chaotic at times. Should have have twice the amount we landed, pulled hooks, missed gaff shots ( should have seen the side eye look I got ) . With just the wife and I in the boat and 5 rods going down at a time, it makes for some crazy times. Went down to 3 rods just settle things down a little. Diving birds and crashing tuna equals fun! Pulling the boat tomorrow. Will be back for a month starting 09/14. Couple pics attached. Maybe we will get to meet up sometime Fishinfool I think it would be cool to meet a board member. All the best & enjoy the rest of your summer, take care! Attachments:

Sounded like a fun last day Fritz! Chaotic in a good way. Looking forward to next year already, we'll be back down to Ocracke July 6th - 20th, a little better timing for gaffer possibilities, but weather is always the crap shoot. It was better year than most weather wise for us this year, always thankful when I can make it outside the inlet to wet a line. Would be great to connect over a cold one and one of your sashimi platters. I don't know about you but I've been super impressed with our hull every time I go offshore. The boat just rides so well running to and from offshore in NC and she has a bigger boat feel when running. Even with the 5 of us on board it never feels cramped. Our last day running out inshore. Video always seems to flatten things out, generally a nice day but bigger and shorter period swells than called for. Hit a nice drop off around the 1:15 mark. My boys often ride on cooler seat up front in rougher conditions than these which in my view is a testament to the soft ride.

The ride of our boats is amazing. We looked at a number of different boats and I always came back to Sailfish. You might get some spray, but hey, it a center console and your running in the ocean. What would one expect, but learning how to run our hulls can alleviate a lot of that. I am happy with our boat and love F200's Last little inshore report for you. Sailfish is all cleaned up and back on dry land and in storage. Took our Carolina Skiff 198 DLV out for an evening trip. Was really nice and the Trout were cooperative again, corks and Zman EZ shrimpz where productive again. All C&R tonight as we are hitting the road tomorrow. Will be hitting Lake Erie out of NE OHio for some Walleye fishing over the next month, before its back to Hatteras in mid September. Will post a few Walleye and Steelhead pics over the next few weeks. It will be out of our Sea hunt CC that we keep back home in PA, hope that counts
