So I'm looking at a sailfish 218 with a 250hp. It was rig with this motor from the factory. I saw on a few older threads that the 250 was too heavy scuppers in the water but I also saw where sailfish changed the design on the boat on the 2010 and up models. Could anyone give me performance numbers. I've been wanting to get one of these boats but I always thought the 150hp was underpowered.

Welcome
The 150 is fine and adequate it's what was on my 218. haven't heard of anyone complaining about the F250 which I think would be a good power package. The best thing to do is see how the boat sits in the water with a moderate load 1/2 tank of fuel.
The 218 has always been plagued by slow draining scuppers.
The F250 on a 218 was a rare breed.

Ihave 2004 Sailfish 218cc with f250 on it. Best 21 foot ive owned. as far water water line scuppers are just above water with two batteries and two people at back of boat. if fill baot well or someone else comes to back, water comes in them. not bad just a little. if you have two bilge pumps like i do you should not worry about it. just if some that water makes it below. Running it totally depends if im off shore loaded down or inshore on light side. i was running 19 pitch 3 blade which cruises in mid 30s mph. thats with motor trimmed all way in. trimmed in it still does upper 40s. inshore you could go to 21 pitch and trim out it would do 55-60 mph but i put 4 blade 17 pitch for offshore to hold boat on plane to much lower speed. its fast enough in rough water with 4 blade for sure
