I know you can buy these for about $60. But I enjoy making shit maybe $10 some old hose good to go. Next I need to figure out how to permanently mount with the fitting inside so no more reaching over the motors to insert hose.

It's always satisfying to find an easy solution!! I've documented by flushing issues on the board. A bit of lube solved my issue, but another remains...reaching over the motor. My transom door is on the side that I dock at home, so that's good. But it's on the opposite side of my flush hose. Connecting the hose is easy since there is a trim switch on the engine. But, once it is trimmed up, I have to step over the live well while it's flushing. And then again to disconnect it. I'd love to find a solution to that. I did break down and buy a Zero G Marine hose because I was tired of coiling my old garden hose. The Zero G is super easy to wrap up store on my piling. So, that was an exciting day for me.

Zero G hose are the best. I believe that Grady white has set up their Yamaha motors with a quick connect. I remember seeing the set up the hose connection is on the inside of the transom. No visible hoses I couldn't find any detail on set up.

View AttachmentI made a similar Y-hose, but added a quick connect at the input side and on my dock hose I have a shutoff valve and mating quick connect. That way I don't have to get off the boat to turn water on and off, I just leave it on at the faucet end. I also have a spray nozzle with mating quick connect that I put on after motor flushing so I can spray down the boat.

I made the same one for my twins years ago. I leave them connected to the motors permentley and hang the receiving end on the tool holder. I use a hose nozzle with a male receiver and when I get back to the dock just screw the nozzle onto the twin adapter and open the valves and good to go.
