I wanted to raise the helm seat - I felt I was sitting a little low. So I purchased an extension from Arrigoni Design. getting the helm seat off was a piece of cake. All in all it took about 30 minutes (maybe 45) to install it. I did have to modify it by adding a slot to cent the swivel locking level. While I was at it, I flipped the base 180 degrees so when the bolster is raised, the sliding lever isn’t hitting my legs (I mentioned this in the standing or sitting thread). ; I have to say I absolutely LOVE the added height. Driving while seated, I can see the entire bow area and still protected by the windshield. With the bolster up, again I am just under the windshield frame and the view is amazing! I am 5’11” for reference. The only negative is my feet no longer touch. Which is fine by me! I also flipped the slide late backwards so the slide lever is in the rear. Still issue with any range or reaching to slide the set forward or backward. The only modification I added was a slot in the upper collar to accept the swivel lock. There are three on the existing mount but I only drilled one. I really only need it locked in the forward position. When swiveling I would rather it be free.

And I agree that fully extended the seat is low. Nice fix.
