We have had a very busy schedule this week and Friday is an appointment with my wife's surgeon and Saturday is one of her normal medical appointments. 2 days ago I started checking the weather and they were calling for 2.25 inches of rain Friday night into Saturday and .64 inches of rain Saturday. I don't know how they got it right two days in advance, but I just got a tropical storm warning from the city and I went to www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at1+shtml/152519.shtml?cone#contents.
Damn....I complain about how in the summer they change the forecast every hour or so and are often way off the mark even an hour later. How they got this one right is beyond me, but I give credit where credit is due. Their forecast stopped me from starting to replace the siding on the greenhouse and I'm grateful I listened to their forecast or I'd risk not having the greenhouse fully sided by the time the rain and wind starts. Now have to figure out how to keep us dry going to appointments.
I noticed a lot of us are probably going to have the opportunity to storm prep the boat for this one.

Huh, had no idea there was a tropical storm threatening the coast. Looks like Ocracoke is going to get hit again. Explains why our forecast has rain all weekend.

That explains it. I had my new rod, new reel, umbrella rig, a few guys lined up to go out for striper on Saturday. Windfinder was showing gusts of 40 knots. Weather bug 100% chance of storms. Oh well. I'll try to sneak out on Friday in the bay if I can.

It's been raining here since Saturday and still raining now. I sure hope this weather pattern changes before the winter, we'd be measuring snow in yards.
