This will be my upcoming winter rewire project. Everything works as it should but it needs to be cleaned up and easy to diagnose and trace when something comes up. Can't wait

X2 on the looks good. Mine is worse. To make it easier to find/fix things I've started labeling wires. Some are easy to figure out, but others going through tough to access connectors are a pain.

I also started my rewire at the same time as my autopilot install. What is everyone using for labels on the wire? When possible, I use shrink wrap that I right on before shrinking. But that is only for when I add my own wiring. What is the choice for existing runs?

Yikes, looks like mine. I avoid looking in there as much as possible. I cleaned mine up the best I could.

Here’s mine re wired by Boatronics in jax, fl…maybe it will give you some layout ideas. I also had a big hatch made by boat outfitters that swings like a door with a left mounted hinge, well worth it.

But that is only for when I add my own wiring. What is the choice for existing runs? I just have a simple Dymo label maker and I use the plastic white labels. Print it twice on one label, then wrap the center around the cable and flatten out the labeled part. Seems to hold up well.

But that is only for when I add my own wiring. What is the choice for existing runs? During diy dash redesign a couple of years ago, used basic p-touch label machine. Equal amount of blank label on the far side to secure to itself. Adhered onto new wiring nicely. Existing wiring needed wipe down with very clean alcohol prep pad for decent attachment. 2 years later and holding up ok -
