I just hit the 30 year mark and eligible for pension. Only 54 so I’ll probably still do something. Going to put in for leave in December and burn 100 sick days. I’m fried and need a change. I’ll use the next 6 months to fish, start playing golf again, repair cedar siding on the house, paint the house, maybe even renovate my kitchen, fly north a couple of times and spend time with my aging parents. Just need to disconnect from the grind before I start my next venture. Might even start up a business. Prefer to work for myself and be the only one I’m accountable for when working. My performance equals my paycheck. I love it what a great plan moving forward. My thoughts and plans are similar to yours. Looking forward to the change. Good Luck.

Thanks. And you should visit Florida in the winter and we’ll go fishing.

Enjoy the 'sick days vacation' schlnrnd. So few companies allow accumulation of sick days (none of mine did). I generally got 'sick' somewhere around Christmas to New Years to at least be able use them before I lost them if I'd already met my bonus targets.

I'll gladly take his spot. I might even bring some beer.

Or come visit Mississippi. I’m almost ready for a change also. Daughter finishes med school in May and will be getting married shortly after that. With her off the payroll, maybe I can slow down.
