More rain today 6 weekends in a row, if it's not raining it's blowing. Weather has pushed the tuna out of my reach. Its been an unusual weather pattern this season not for the better. I'm going to call it an early season and pull the boat home tomorrow.

Yea, you guys haven't had a good time weather-wise this summer. Rough when you have the time and the gear and the people who want to come along and then week after week it's either a no-go or a bad trip be a use the weather isn't good. Hang in there finatic there will be better days next summer.

Quitter! I just put the curtain wings on. I think I'm going to be in all winter this year since we'll be doing the pool and they'll need that part of the driveway to access the backyard. I usually don't pull it until December anyway so what's another 3 months?

I've got friends for Tog fishing. Next season I'll be retired so a new ball game the boat can stay in.

I'm about ready too. Last few seasons from September to November were amazing. There is 90% less boat traffic around me after school starts, and it was so peaceful on the water. I purchased a nice trolling rig in August of this year and was going to pull up some stripers. But, the line hasn't been wet at all. The weather has been horrible, and when I do get to go out, the conditions kept me in the bay. There's always next year....

There's always next year.... if you can, hang in for a few more weeks, striper bite is en fuego just north of us, it could be an epic run this fall.... I've heard massive schools of bunker up by Asbury Park, it will all start migrating south soon.

Well once again rain over the weekend with wind gusts 30 mph. This will make 7 in a row. There's a theory I read saying the weekend rain had to do with automobile use during the week. Don't know if that was accurate or not, but I will tell you when I was first retired I never when out on weekends if I could avoid it. During the week boat traffic is so much less. Getting to the boat could take longer due to work traffic and school slow downs, but out on the water I only had to contend with charter boats and ships and a few other boaters. Nothing like the madness during the weekends.

Glen you just need to retire now so you can fish during the week. Buddy I'm so tempted, I'm just looking for the company to give me a reason to say go pound sand. My last tuna trip was very successful so I'll have to hold that thought until next June.

I just hit the 30 year mark and eligible for pension. Only 54 so I’ll probably still do something. Going to put in for leave in December and burn 100 sick days. I’m fried and need a change. I’ll use the next 6 months to fish, start playing golf again, repair cedar siding on the house, paint the house, maybe even renovate my kitchen, fly north a couple of times and spend time with my aging parents. Just need to disconnect from the grind before I start my next venture. Might even start up a business. Prefer to work for myself and be the only one I’m accountable for when working. My performance equals my paycheck.
