For those following my installation of radar and autopilot that has been in the making since I bought both in mid July, I completed the autopilot installation and did the sea trial yesterday. All went well aside from the manual being slightly different than the on-screen calibration procedures which caused me to mistakenly skip past a step that was critical to getting the system to steer correctly...I knew it was something like a configuration error when it steered to port when it should have gone to starboard! Anyway, all is well now and I've posted photos showing where the compents ended up getting installed. The pump, ACU and compass are in the comparment in front of the helm on my 275 DC.

Looks good. I had my compass in a similar position, but I had to move it due to electronic interference or interference from the dash mounted compass at times. It's compass would show different than the MFD compass and dash compass and it would steer a few degrees off from where I wanted. Hope yours works fine there, but I thought I pass it along.

So where did you end up putting the compass? I have some concerns with mine due to proximity to the audio amp and a dash mounted inductive phone charger...figured I would watch it work a bit before making a move to a less desirable location.

Our boats are a bit different, but from your pictures it seems it would be near where you put the ACU. Down far enough from the dash compass, and forward far enough from the electronics.

Congrats on the install. Nice work. Nothing better than Autopilot.
