Wondering if anybody has added a jackplate to their 236 and obtained more speed from it. Or any other speed mods
I have a 2002 Sailfish 236 with a Yamaha F300 15.25x17 SWS prop pushes the boat about 48-50mph 2 people 1/4 tank.

My first thought is that, holy cow isn't that fast enough? I seldom go full throttle other than to get on plane, then I cut back to a reasonable speed/rpm which is anywhere from 25 to 35 mph. I'm required to drop to 25 for some of my normal trip due to manatee zones, but even when unrestricted I seldom exceed 4000 rpm which is around 35 MPH on my boat. That seems fast enough for most conditions.
