I have never been afraid to admit dumb moves, I was putting the wires back on the batteries in my 245DC (a very tight spot) and one thing hit another thing and sparks flew. I was oh-oh. Nothing major got fried, but I did burn a few fuses. I have commented on boat wiring in the past and this experience confirms my general observation about many boat’s wiring-Chaotic . The fuses I blew were in the following locations:
• Sound system, the fuse is in the back of the head unit- had to take the fusion out and replace the fuse.
• Bow speakers still did not work. Tracked down (no pdf's on this one), a guess what is a small amp in the console with a inline fuse and replaced that. Sound system OK.
• I have a 300 watt inverter and that died. The fuses are soldered into the board of the inverter, so had to disassemble the inverter and get my soldering iron out.
• The autopilot took a hit. That fuse was in a fuse bus I installed on the back of the access door to the dash.
I felt fortunate that I didn’t wreck anything big, screens, motor electronics etc.
I guess I had the power on at the main when hooking the battieries up-which was probaly the dumb part, wont do that again.

Glad you got it all going. Could have been worse. We all do dumb stuff from time to time. Glad you shared so maybe we won’t do the same thing.
