Hello I was just taking a look where my center console drains too and it is pretty nasty under there. Does anyone know if in the 218's the water that drains through there will drain into the bilge? I tried looking as far down as I could but I could not tell if there were holes that continued to the rear bilge area. I want to try and clean some of that out with bilge cleaner if I can but I want to make sure it continues to drain back into the rear bilge.

My 220 does. I clean it out often. Throw a hose in there with your bilge plug out you’ll see it start to drain out.

Do you ever pour bilge cleaner in there? Mine looks pretty dirty like the previous owner never cleaned it. I am looking for best ways to clean it out.

Yes. I even spray Clorox bathroom cleaner, give it a scrub and rinse. It also helps to keep the bilge clean.

There's a lot of information (opinions really) on thehulltruth.com about how and which cleaners to use in your bilge. All have good points. Just remember that any oil/grease that you loosen up and flush out will make quite a mess. You can save yourself clean-up time by using oil-absorbent mats. They don't absorb water. They only absorb oil. So any oily water you flush out will be filtered so that the water runs off and the oil stays on the mat. You can buy them on amazon for cheap. Once you get the bilge clean, keep one in your bilge from now on and change it out from time to time if you suspect anything is leaking. www.amazon.com/SPC-BPO100-BASIC-Heavy-Weight/dp/B075KP7R8S

I dont really suspect anything is leaking (as of now) but it just looks grungy in there and I want to give it a good clean before I get her out on the water. I dont think I need the oil mats but then again we will see how it looks in there after I clean it. I feel like it will be easier to identify any leaks when it is not as gross in there.

Are you still facing this problem? Well, it is very important to clean drain in order to remove debris that are trapped in drains. Preventive maintenance service is the best way by which you can increase the lifespan of the drain. In the last month I hired drain cleaning service NJ expert that properly examine the drain and then clear clogs.

Just put a leave blower on the scupper opening and blow the sh!t out of it. 200 mph wind will force anything out.
