Washed her up yesterday and took a little ride today. I had to let the ole girls run, it’s been a while. I’m ready for this wind to lay so I can fish. Attachments:

How is your hip, better than 90% recovered would you say? We all hope you have a great season this year to make up for last year!

Thanks TR. I’m as good as I’m gonna be. About 90% probably. It was nice to get out.

If it makes you fill any better, I froze my nuts off. 75 Saturday and 50 Sunday on the water with a 25 mph north wind.

I'm trying to talk my wife into whale watching Thursday. It will be 57 on land, but water temp is only 43. Wind projected to be 5 MPH on land, but 10 MPH on the water so the temp on the boat will probably be close to 45. She hates cold weather, but loves whale watching. Be interesting to see which way she goes on this as due to an unusually wet winter we haven't had too many days we could get out.
Glad to hear you're doing so much better and hope you get to have a good year on the water. I probably wouldn't go out too often in a 25 MPH wind from the north. Chesapeake Bay would be 3-5 feet and steep or very steep in those winds and the ocean would be worse.

I stayed in the river. Offshore would have been bumpy.

Well, I won't be reporting any whales tomorrow. Calling for 3 foot steep and building, 25 knot gusts, and in the 40's. Wife says maybe next week. We'll see. I checked the 'predictions' for next week and it's colder. However since weather reporters are the only people who get to keep their jobs with an accuracy less than 50%, it could be different. I did get the engine started the other day, but didn't leave the dock due to the weather. Normally I'd have been out several times in February, but this February has been more unpleasant than most.

You are catching it in the North East. Seas look good here the next couple of days but I will be stuck at work.
