I’ve not tried disassembly yet, was waiting on the part. The issue is with the tie rod to the port motor where I am pointing to in the pic. Note forward of my finger (boar fwd not direction I’m pointing) the pivot plate is level with the bottom of where it rotates. On the 5345 it’s at the top.

I am wondering now if I can put the tie rod that’s under my finger under the pivot plate. I need more beer.

Took a week to find a definitive answer. I’m pissed, both at my mechanic who gave me the wrong part number, and seastar who’s tech rep gave me the wrong part number. And that star marine? Oh yeah, they sent me exactly what I ordered

Ok I take it back. HC5345 works fine. Pivot plate mounts on top of tiller arm and tie rod also underneath pivot plate. This is opposite my previous ram and what was giving me fits. Support brackets fell right off no problem. Also the new support brackets have grease fittings!
So now I’m double checking the toe of the motors. Anyone know what it’s supposed to be? I’ve got noted 1/2” toe out. Also don’t know which is considered toe in or out. Makes sense to me that toe out is front of motors wider than the prop centers. Also not sure the reference points. Prop center to center 29”. Pitot hole to hole just slightly less. Tiller arm to tiller arm 28.5”.
Anybody know?

At the seastar tech reps direction I mounted the pivot plate to the aft most hole (of 3) in the tiller arm. This is not where the previous (and different #) cylinder mounted. The tie bar on the port motor is in the center hole. Tried to move it to aft one but bolt didn’t have clearance to get in hole from bottom up. Could probable turn it over and run bolt down. Am I crazy to think that currently one of those is in the wrong hole??
