I’m heading down a week from Wednesday. Was supposed to finish prepping the boat this past weekend. Of course the rain came. Kid baseball, dance etc changed the plans loll I did get all my fishing/trolling/deep drop gear rigged and organized so that’s a plus Hopefully it blows out of the nE the next 8 days then lays down 😄

I will be a couple weeks behind you staying in Marathon. If you could help a buddy out with some bottom numbers, it would be appreciated. Good luck to you and I hope the weather cooperates.

Went out yesterday from Black Point out Ceaser's Creek and fished south towards Key Largo. Weeds everywhere. We started working the edge from 200 to 400' and quickly gave up and headed southeast. Nothing but weeds out to 1600' or about 13 miles. I spent the day clearing weeds while my buddy drove. We got one huge hit at about 1200'. Something big crashed a long bait, came back and smacked it again and never got hooked. Didn't see any dolphin green or a billfish. I think it was long and silver, probably a large wahoo or maybe a tuna but the ballyhoo was cut off right at the hook. Gave up and came in early.
Hope you have better conditions in the lower Keys.

Thanks for the report I’m hearing it’s been a bit sparse as well in the lowet keys.
I suspect a week from today ....it’s going to be on fire 🙃

Very well kept boat, beautiful. You owned from day one, and kept it looking new. If you were to sell today I think you would get as much or more than the original sale, love it. People always say boats are losers not all of them. Enjoy the trip an stay safe.

Sharp eye Charlie It’s the storage lot I keep my boat at.
Story is sad. It was relayed to me like this.
Dudes son or the dad and son owned it, restored it, something like that. It was real nice. His pride and joy Then the son died. I think he was 20. The family parked it there. And there it’s sat, untouched for years. Rotting Into the ground almost People have broken in and pilfered motor parts and such from it over the years
