This is a great question, but I'm thinking dead-nuts center. I'm just spit-balling here, but I think a toe out will slightly improve your straight line stability, and a toe in will improve steering response.

Got an answer from sailfish:
The measurement from the center of each prop shaft should measure 1/8” to ¼” shorter than the measurement of the leading edge from one gear case to the other one. Providing that your prop shafts are not bent. This will point the two props in towards the middle of the boat. Please let me know if you have any more questions at all. Mine are about 1/8” toe in after the steering ram swap. Not sure if new ram is a little different or a spun the tie rod in all my stumbling around in the splashwell. But now I know what to set it to I’ll correct it when I get home next week.

Yes toe out Did you mean in. You want to see your prop wash come together out beyond the bach of the boat. I did mine years ago when the boat was new and that's the same information that Denny gave me back then.

So I set mine 1/4” toe out, and I have to say I think the handling improved. Less bow wander at low speed, seemed to turn better at speed too. Didn’t find any water smooth enough to open it up all the way to see speed at WOT to compare to before.

WOT, about the same, MAYBE a mph faster. Did get an extra 100 rpm out of it which is nice, 5600 now
