Good Morning, I'll get right to it. 2360 single f250, 2 batteries, 2 battery switches, settings 1,2 and 1&2. I bought a boat plug light, not the screw in model, the replacement flange model with two elements. In the stern behind the double doors to the bilge I have my fuel/water separator filter and a Yamaha junction block and an electrical connection with red and black. My guess is that the batteries go through the switches in the console then a feed is sent aft to the connection I described. Probably so the starter leads don't have to be 4700 feet long and the boat mfg can pre-wire the boat for whatever power package that would be installed. If this is the case what do you think about jumping off the connection in the stern to power the lights? and do you think interference could be an issue or any other problems that could be had? Other than this I would have to tie it in forward under the console into the existing rats nest of wires. Thoughts.... Take care of the moms today. sol...
******* just had a thought I got rid of the fresh water pump, I can come out of the power there..... and it is switched and fused ...... ********

My lumitec lights are connected here with an inline fuse and plunger style switch. You'll need a switch or they will be on anytime you turn your battery switches o.

Roger, Thanks for all that provided their input. I edited my original post so my plan is to use the spot where the fresh water pump was connected. I just don't carry any fresh water so I just uninstalled the pump. I saved the connector so I should be good to go. That circuit is switched at the helm so im good on the switch and I believe it is fused as well. If all fails I can use the location that you all gave me great advice about. Switch it and fuse it then yay!!!! You know I just might do a start to finish install of the light and post her up. sol...
