I readily acknowledge this is a self inflicted problem in my never ending pursuit to make things right! Lol. I just cant leave well enough alone... So I ran new power wire from my 2 channel Wet Sounds amp and installed an inline fuse. All I did was remove the old and install new. After I spliced and diced ,,, I powered up the head unit and sure enough, problemo... the two speakers the amp serves were making a loud static popping noise, nothing out of the other 4 speakers powered by the other amp and the volume control did nothing to turn down the LOUD static. I pulled all of the battery connections,,, again,,,, replaced a terminal connector that had seen better days, checked my inline fuse connections, eyeballed the power connections at the amp and all seemed tight and good. Every F'n time I poke around behind the console something breaks! I know this is a connection problem somewhere... Any ideas?

Okay,,, this might be a clue as to the cause... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_inductionIn my effort to try and make everything neat, I looped 2 sets of power wires for both amps together. Maybe? Maybe not? I can clip all of those damn zip ties and unravel it and see what happens?

I would. Also did you run the new power wires in the same tube/location as the old ones? Did you mess with the RCA’s? I had a pair in a car system way back when that were picking up shit and causing a humming sound. Took a while to figure that one out as the cables were new Monster Cable brand. Rag’s

I had a pair in a car system way back when that were picking up shit and causing a humming sound. Took a while to figure that one out as the cables were new Monster Cable brand. Rag’s Power was run through the same location to battery. This isn't ground loop humming type stuff, this high volume (as in it sounds like the volume is all of the way up and i can't turn it down), uncontrollable popping and hissing out of two speakers and complete loss of reception of any type. In fact beyond powering on, the head unit is even unresponsive to input. Very weird... I think those loops are creating some serious magnetic fields. I could be proven wrong, but I can't think of anything else causing this unless there is something screwed up with the Wet Sounds inline fuse box i used or my connections at the amp.

Yep! FYI - Dont ever coil your power wires like this! Crazy interference! I cut the power wires down to length and reconnected to the amp and all is well in the land,,, that is until I screw something else up! This pic was after I snipped a few ties off, actually had another coul in it.
