A few weeks ago I hit a small piece of wood at 25 mph. I later noticed my command link speedometer gauge was stuck at 25 miles an hour. Two weeks later still stuck at 25 miles an hour. I pulled the boat yesterday I took a drill and 1/32 drill bit and drill that tiny porthole out on the bottom of the motor. It was stuff solid what a piece of wood after I drilled it all the water came shooting out. The gauge dropped back down to zero and everything is now normal. What do you think the chances are of hitting that motor that perfectly to seal that hole so tight and not damage anything.

Crazy. I’m glad it didn’t damage anything.

Had the same thing happen to me. I hit a piece of 2 x 4 about 16 inches long, no damage but blocked up the hole. Glad you didn't have any damage. BTW I have not won the lottery.
