Happy 4th of July!!! Stay safe on the water and roads this weekend. I hope to see a bunch of fishing reports Monday. I sure hope I have some. Planning on hitting the rip south of the MS river for phins and billfish, dropping big squid down deep for the sword, and killing some snapper. We shall see. Have a good one guys!!!

Hanging out with the family tomorrow and enjoying the fireworks on the water in a friends boat. Definitely fishing for some Mahi on Friday. Put four in the box last weekend. Everyone stay safe and watch out for the unqualified captains.

We're hoping to get out the 4th for some family time, but Friday - Monday they're calling for thunderstorms every day. We'll make the most of what good weather we've got. Hope everyone has a good 4th and stays safe.

Only a fool would go out on July 4th in this area. We'll be watching fireworks sitting in beach chairs by the sea wall in downtown WPB. But I certainly hope the rest of your enjoy you holiday. Stay safe and watch out for the fools.

Had a great 4th riding and relaxing with family on the boat. Stayed out a while longer while we waited for an angry thunderstorm to pass by. Then after clean up and dinner, out to the fireworks. They had to start them early due to the impending thunderstorms. Rain started about 1/2 way thru so we watched the rest from in the car. Next 10 days outlook isn't too good, but at least I won't have to do any watering. Maybe try and get out fishing on Wednesday.

Saw an awesome 30 minute display, rafted up with two other boats with four of my close buddies and their families. At the end, waited for the rush to leave then easily made it back to the marina. Only problem....none of the three boats was a Sailfish. Just glad I was able to continue our family tradition of watching fireworks on the water. Looks like I'm fishing both Saturday and Sunday!! Sometimes OPB is the way to go.
