..new 241cc 300 hp.. {possible 220cc..But is only available with 200hp max},...to me that's a lot OF BOAT FOR A 200hp. I had a 218, same boat is the 220, but with an F150. F150 did a good job pushing the boat. Not a speed demon, 40mph top speed, did good. They use to offer the 218 with an F250, but I think weight was an issue. An F200 would do a good job, but between the two boats, I'd get the bigger boat.

And where/when can you run over 40mph?? If you live on a lake probably a lot. In the ocean not so much. Unless you like you dentist and want new fillings every month! I think time to plane is much better measure of power a boat not too end. The one boat I’ve driven that seemed under powered to me was a 266 with twin 150, but also I am used to my 2360 with twin 150. And where I noticed it was slow around the dock when it wouldn’t respond as I wanted it to. But if it was what I drove all the time, I’d be used to it and probably not even notice.

That's the problem with forums, people get the answers they want, buy their boat and then disappear, rather than stay somewhat engaged with the community and be a resource for future buyers. Then the same owner's complain that the forum is quiet and there's nobody around when they come back looking for an answer to a question they might have later about their boat.

..I agree ,..people should keep input on the Forum,..it's a great way to communicate about your boat,.. If I get the 241 I sure will,.as there's nothing on here about it...and the closest Dealer is 5 hour drive..so I'm taking a chance i if I jump on it.

5 hour drive to take a ride is no fun. Mine was only about an hour and a half, but the ride made the decision for me. Dealer who drove the boat was not experienced at all and his mishandling of 2 foot waves and stiff winds showed me how good the boat was. Oh, did I mention I picked a bad weather day?
