Get the dry exhaust scoped. Check the operation of all pump - raw water wash down, fresh water, live wells. Check that if it has the membrane switch that all switches work. Oh and get a survey

Looks clean and a rare find 1 owner boat. None of that negates my recommendations though. Spending +/-$500 may save you thousands later and a lot of pain and aggravation. Cant tell you about how many newish owners came on here to complain about problems with their new/used boat only to find out they didnt spend the money on a survey. Did I mention get the dry exhaust scooped for corrosion? Dont say you were not advised. Good luck!

Survey yes, I agree. I talked to the service manager where all work was done. He told me that the exhaust issue did not apply to motors 06 and newer. Not sure if that is true??

That is bullshit, he doesnt know what he's talking about or blowing smoke up your ass. It is a well documented problem 2006 and even much newer. A Google search will tell you all you need to know. Get the dry exhaust scopped, it requires dropping the lower unit. Depending on what the mechanic see will determine your next move. If it is real bad it could be eating through the block which would require a new head. If it is minor work the price of a new dry exhaust sleeve into the price. I would find another Yamaha mechanic to do the inspection.

I agree with fishnfool its a big investment you will enjoy for years. The last thing you want are issue's because you took the sellers word.

Very good advice!! Unfortunately the boat is 2.5hrs. away. I'm going to call a surveyor local to me that I have used in the past to see if can recommend someone out that way.
Thanks to both of you for the great input.

Thanks to both of you for the great input. 2.5 hrs. that's nothing. Take the surveyor you used in the past for a ride, buy him lunch pay him for the day and all is good.

So because I wanted to have the exhaust scoped. The seller freaked. Won't respond to text or calls. What a dick. I'm done. I have a another question. In looking at other boats. How can you have twin 115's on a 2360 and also on a 2660?
