I'll be the only one here to say it, but I am glad that the Red Tide was washed by the Blue wave. That's some funny stuff. Look where it has got us. Inflation, energy, food and our borders all out of control at 40-year high. I respect your opinion but have a hard time understanding your thought process. But I do like your boat with the twin 250's

Red, Blue, doesn't matter. We need politics to start working for the citizens again. How is it we have by far the most expensive healthcare in the world, but our healthcare is ranked 34th in the world? Could political contributions be more important than the needs of the citizens? I guess it is to the politicians red and blue as neither has done much of anything when they're the party in control on this issue, or hundreds of other issues that could use some attention.
Just something to think about as I don't think either Red or Blue politicians have much more on their mind than getting elected or reelected and the parties love it that most people will vote for the same party regardless of who they put up to run. I would like to see 'None of the above' added to ballots for those times that both parties run idiots for office. I get tired of voting for the least bad.

"I get tired of voting for the least bad." Boy isn't that the truth! I wish we had solid candidates on both sides who could work across the aisle to get the right stuff done and some solid well thought-out decisions made. As it is, it is a power play of who can stop a bill or push a bill through, without real concerns for the impact that those bills create for the whole of the country. Too many special interests with a hand in the government's water faucet for themselves without worrying about who has to fill the water bucket, and it starts with those at the top in Government who have all learned quite well how to hold their hands out for the money and power to be re-elected.

I don't think I'll inflame anyone by saying that neither Mehmet Oz or John Fetterman were outstanding candidates that were going to really make a huge difference in this country. If I'm being honest, neither one of them is qualified. If you think either one of them is going to appear in Washington and start reading 1000 page bills to determine if passing it is in the best interest of their constituents, well you and I would have to disagree.... The powers that be spent north of $330 million dollars to try and get one of those 2 clowns in office. To me, that says a lot. $330 million dollars spent trying to get a job that pays $174,000 a year. The people that spent the $330 million dollars are going to be telling this guy which way to vote on every single measure.

footy3 I agree! What gets me is the question...Is this the most qualified candidate that could be found for each party? Why aren't good people willing to run for these offices? Often that leads me to voting for the lesser evil rather than for someone I felt was doing a good job (or that I thought would do so in office). Fairly often I vote for the least offensive choice.

Now that winter is here and our boats have been tucked away fuel prices are dropping. Some gas stations are now below $3 per gallon. Still to much but almost 2 bucks less than this summer. So much for placing the blame on the war.

Don't underestimate the impact that the use of, or the replenishment of, our strategic reserves has on the market prices we see at the pump. While depleting the reserves prices drop but sooner or later the faucet gets turned off, and then the replenishment demand negatively rises prices above what normal demand would say. It's government market manipulation at its worst because they are using our defensive insurance against us.

Up $.40 per gallon in the last week... Rising prices here also and January 1 the gas tax goes back into effect. Let's just slap you in the face with another 25 cents per gallon. Also another new tax on big trucks January 1st that ought to help raise the price at the grocery store and fuel oil even more, these guys are so smart it's amazing

these guys are so smart it's amazing Don't make the mistake of chalking it up to them being dumb. This is designed to push the Big Green agenda and make more people dependent upon the Federal Government for basic sustenance. I say this not because I'm some conspiracy thinking whacko, but because it would literally be impossible to be that dumb, this has to be on purpose.

While I'm waiting for a repair, they loaned me a nearly $100k hybrid van. When they pressed the button to open the side door, it didn't open correctly. Turns out the door battery is the starter battery and it was low. Started up the engine and it worked fine after a few minutes. I'm somewhat surprised there is a separate starter battery when you've got this hybrid battery to get you down the road. The mechanic was laughing the whole time and showed me where the starter battery was located and how the humongous battery isn't used to open the doors.
The more I know about the green energy movement the more I'm convinced those pushing this idea are either idiots or own a whole lot of green energy stocks. It doesn't take much investigation to realize the environmental and human damage being done to get green energy minerals and worse yet the mess when it's no longer useful and can't be recycled. I suspect in 100 years this period in time will be known as the age of idiots or if they're kind, the age of well meaning idiots.

So with boating season right around the corner prices are down about $1.50 a gallon from last season. Still way to high but fingers crossed it don't match last season's prices.
