I feel like this was a thread already, but can't find it. Has anyone replaced their batteries on this model yet? Looking for any pro tips, it's looking pretty tight in there. Also, what batteries did you replace with? Mine came equipped with 2 Interstate 27m-XHD, 800 CCA, 1000 MCA. ANy feedback on battery chocie is helpful.
thanks

I did a replacement on three batteries in the rear of my 275 DC a few months back. Pretty tight for sure. I had to tilt the port starter battery out at a 45 degree angle to allow enough room to wiggle the starboard starter battery out, then I could get the port battery out. The house battery was a bit easier but none of them were a joy because they are heavy and you just can't get a good angle to lift and move the heavy load while getting them in and out. I replaced my Interstate 27 series lead acids with group 27 ABM deep cycle batteries that had enough CCAs to meet the starter needs, but would hold up better for deep discharge and hopefully have longer life. DEKA brand is the battery I used, but they are the same as what you can buy at West Marine as the Deka guy told me they were the supplier to WM and said the battery was the same.

I did a search on 245DC and another on Battery and it didn't show up??? Found the date I changed them and then I was able to locate the post.
No fun replacing, but not all that bad either. I put interstate batteries in, but several others are using better ($$$) batteries that will last a lot longer and don't need regular maintenance. I may do that on next replacement.

curious, in the pictures I see one of your batteries is a deep cycle, do you have one set up as a house and one for starting?

Nah..when I got the second battery they didn't have what I wanted and they said this would perform the same. Might not be true, but it starts the boat fine and when I'm going to use electronics with the engine off, like when the grandkids are at the beach and want the radio on for hours I switch to the deep cycle battery.
Realized I'm talking about my current set up...The picture was my old setup and it's what the dealer installed. I'm sure they installed whatever they had available. Also, realized I never even took a picture of the current battery set up with one battery port and one starboard. I'm taking a granddaughter and her boyfriend out fishing tomorrow and if time allows I'll get a picture and post it. Moving one to port helped with the list to starboard, but didn't fix it. There doesn't appear to be enough room for both batteries on the port side, but when alone if I fill the baitwell it's all balanced out, so that's what I do.

oddly, mine has a decided list to port.... I'm toying with going to a deep cycle and a starting battery and switching when necessary, but realize I'll probably forget half the time.... also thinking of just going with 2 multi-purpose batteries. also wondering if I'm overthinking it and realize my decision will probably be made for me by what is in stock and available.

I figured my list to starboard is mostly due to the galley (not what I wanted, but I wanted the boat quickly and it was what was available). It did list to starboard day one with nothing added and I've tried to make sure I balance things out as much as possible when adding anything. Surprised to hear yours lists to port.

Here's the promised picture with one battery shifted port. I created a wooden 'battery' to replace the one I moved. Also labeled them #1 and #2 so I'd know which was which.
