I need to replace my bait well pump. At the end of last season I went to pull it out, but that heavy black hose wasn’t coming off. Any recommendations? One thought was a heat gun to soften it.

Heat gun is a good start.

It is a pain to get off. I would start with the heat gun.

I dont go near a hose in the boat without a heat gun- makes all the difference. If you have the cartridge type motor, may not have to take hose off. Of course on my boat sailfish faced the cartridge to the stern.

Any ideas on what kind of pump this is? It’s the best picture I could get.
