I have a 290CC. Where do folks mount their fire extinguisher(s)?

Mine are mounted on the rear wall on starboard side of console. Between the drop down door for the electronics and the side wall.

I have a 290CC. Where do folks mount their fire extinguisher(s)? I have two that fit perfectly in the cup holders inside of the center console.

I currently stow one extinguisher in a drawer in the head and one in the stowage space under the helm. Not ideal.... Finatic- Mine won't fit in the cup holders and that is where I keep my EPIRB and water bottles. I think the leaning post may be an option (between the fold down foot rests) but I'm worried I might snag my leg on them when working at the helm. Wish Sailfish had designed a dedicated place to put, and quickly access, required safety gear like fire extinguishers. I may modify the leaning post to make a recess space for something like this: www.boatoutfitters.com/fire-extinguisher-box

That's odd, mine are like the one in the extinguisher box from boatoutfitters, yours must be a size up.

Mine is mounted in the console on the port aft corner just inside the console door. I don't have a great picture but here is what i have with me. You can barely see the bracket circled in red Here is another view of the bracket location from inside the console

Thanks for the pics. I might have enough space to mount one of my two extinguishers in the same location (my battery switches and breakers are located there).
P.S. Very nice & neat cabling and hose layout!

I like those blue bags.... I probably need to keep the potty for the wife... I sure hate cleaning that thing out. My biggest issues are where to put the live raft and tackle storage. The fishboxes are awkward and they really don't keep the ice cold. If you ever want to improve the ice retention of the forward fish boxes let me know. I went through a bit of effort adding insulation and it seems to have improved them alot. Most definitely, although I think it will be a future project for another time. I was figuring I can get some expandable poly foam in there or something.

I like those blue bags.... I probably need to keep the potty for the wife... I sure hate cleaning that thing out. My biggest issues are where to put the live raft and tackle storage. The fishboxes are awkward and they really don't keep the ice cold. I told the wife from the beginning that we wont have a head. She had to learn to use the 5 gallon bucket. I decided to be nice and bought a snap on toilet seat for the bucket so its a little more comfortable. The daughter has gotten good at using it too. I looked for a life raft that would fit easily (key word) into the forward fish boxes and eventually gave up. In the second picture in the previous post you can see where i put the raft and ditch bag. They are on the step going into the console. I don't always have the raft on board so that spot has worked out well for me. If you ever want to improve the ice retention of the forward fish boxes let me know. I went through a bit of effort adding insulation and it seems to have improved them alot. mikey111k - I'd like to know about adding insulation to the forward fish boxes.....

I added these shelves waaay back in 2005, not long after I bought my 218CC. They're still in there... exactly how I installed 'em 14 years ago. The support chains have hooks at the top. Disconnecting them from the eye bolts allow the shelves to hinge down and flatten against the wall... giving access to the helm hatch.

WOW! That was an involved project! I don't think I have the skills to handle the lids like you did... Perhaps over the winter next year. However, I;m sure just adding foam to the undersides would make a drastic improvement. I would like to know what you used for the gasket material. I I'm thinking I would like to use 1 of the fish boxes for fish, and the other for dry storage.... But it's not all that dry.
