Popeye - I bought it from McMaster. Believe it was part number 93085k81. I took play doh and put some on the edge of the fish box where I wanted it to seal against. Then I closed the lid. Once opened I measured the thickness of the play doh so I knew how large the gap was and how thick of a seal to get. I did this in 4-6 spots around the edge to get an ever age gap.
Adding the seal is easy and really helpful. Also sealing where the ‘tub’ meets the underside of the top of the fish box is really helpful. Stopping cold air from escaping is the goal.

Thanks Mikey.
I looked that up, and low and behold, there is a thread on the old site. I wish I could view the pictures.
One question that was not apparently clear to me in the other thread....
Where do you place the seal? Do you want it to be dead center on the lip of the fish box? Or do you want it off set so it's mating with the side of the lip?
I like the idea of the play-dough. Someone had their kid lay in there with a flashlight and a pencil. Brilliant. I'd like to seal up all my hatches, including the in floor fishboxes, just to get some dry storage. I'm tired of everything getting wet and mildewie....

Popeye - I have it so the seal hits the top of the lip.
