Also added aluminum loop with pivot to provide solid support to hard top riders, also gives me a feeling that a hanging tree branch hopefully won’t wipe out my 2000$ radar dome, plus piece Seadec

Full enclosure of standard T top with Lexan, an aluminum extrusion, all from Lowe’s, Function seem fantastic , still some cosmetic details, worlds of difference in wind buffet, and face sprays. Right around 500$ material cost.

Andrew886 - I made them. They are FDM/3D printed. If you are interested in some let me know and I can make some more.

I find the subject of 3D printers very interesting, I'd love to hear more about it. Would you be able to do a video of the process, the printer that you use and how you set the parameters from which the printer will make the item you want.

I can get a video soon. We have had a few different machines over the last 8 or so years. We have had dimensions, stratasys and now we have markforged onyx printers ( markforged.com/onyx-pro/). The mark forged are great little machines and are really reasonably priced. The only issue I have with the mark forged is that it only has black material. The other printers have some color options. The mark forged can do fiberglass or carbon fiber reinforced parts. I have made some impressively strong parts with it. We also have some SLA machines I design the part in solid works (3D cad software) and ‘send’ it to the printer. You choose print orientation of the part and some other build details. Lots of factors go into choosing this orientation such as what orientation you want the fibers running for strength. You also choose if you want reinforcement, glass or carbon, and how much. They have gotten really simple to use.

Got the new rod holder installed today. Went with a Lee heavy duty, swivel base, holder. With backing plate of course! ....Your number ....013...013...013... Hardest part was choosing where to put the hole! Had it all measured out to place in forward of the 30 deg holder, but decided to go aft. Fit was real tight forward, access difficult, and would have lost use of top most under gunnel storage hole. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment DeletedI couldnt figure out how out how to use the pliers in this project but included in photo just because! so moved aft of current rod holder, and after hours of measuring and trying to decide where, finally let it rip. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedFinished project with with and without planer rod. Last pic shows access to swivel tension through sea cock hatch. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Good job. The fish box insulation has always been my favorite project on your boat. I would love to do the same on mine, but can’t seem to find the time. I had mine sprayed by local insulation company, 2 seasons ago, huge difference in ice retention. i have experimented with the other areas, small improvements, 2-3 inches foam on bottom of box made 10x difference of anything else.

Let me know specs when you get some downtime on tube diameter it attaches too and assuming it works count me in!
